NEW: The 2027 Year of the Goat Useful Calendar is now available as a wire-bound book that can be used as a planner or diary.
This version of the Useful Calendar is black and gray on cream-colored paper, with my original black ink line drawings. I later added watercolor to them for the other formats, but this would cost too much if I had it printed in color. It looks kind of classy, really, and you get to add whatever colors you like to it.
DETAILS
• 5” w by 6” h by 1/2” thick, bound with black “wire-o,” which is like spiral binding but different. 138 pages.
• Each month is spread across two pages with holidays noted, topped by an illustration with an informational caption. That is followed by two pages per week; the days and dates on the left face a lightly gridded page on the right.
• Rectangular patches with the month names are set at the outer edge to help you find each month.
• While there are places to list goals, tasks, or whatever, there are no headings telling you how to use this book.
• The opening spread is a full year 2027 summary, including major holidays. At the end is another full year spread for 2028, again including major holidays.
• The last page is about the Year of the Goat/Sheep, including a list of past such years, and a colophon.
• Inside the back cover is a pocket (which I added after the printer was done with them).
THE NITTY-GRITTY FOR PAPER AND ECO NERDS
• The covers are 100 lb cover (card stock), 100% post-consumer recycled from French Paper Company of Niles, Michigan.
• The 138 pages are 80lb off-white paper from Neenah Paper’s Classic Crest line, which is 30% post-consumer recycled and the rest certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. Made in the US.
• Printed with plant-based toner by an independent union shop and B corporation, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
